About Nick...

Nick Hollings first picked up the guitar at the age of fifteen. By nineteen, he was recording guitar parts for producer Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, The Darkness etc) and had supported Sweet Sensation (whose Sad Sweet Dreamer was an international No. 1 hit).

After stints with the now legendary Clayson and the Argonauts and prog-rock outfit Scorpio, Nick joined virtuoso punk band The Dumb Blondes being managed by, and recording with, producer Tom Newman (Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge etc). The demise of The Dumb Blondes saw Nick becoming a member of successful new wave band, Boys From Brazil until they split in 1985.

In the latter part of the 1980’s, Nick was active on the London session scene, providing guitar parts for many commercially successful recordings.

Since 1990, Nick has focused his energy on music education and has built an enviable reputation as Reading’s pre-eminent guitar tutor. He continues to play and record on a regular basis, providing guitar for various projects, including: a charity single for 'Children In Need' produced by Nick Tauber (Thin Lizzy, Toyah, Marillion, etc) and more recently providing the guitar parts for Remember Monday’s 2025 UK Eurovision entry ‘What The Hell Just Happened’ produced by Billen Ted (Mel C, Anne Marie, Rudimental, KSI, etc).
